Our Community Workers are paid over the award, employed on minimum 15 hours per week contracts, regularly meet with their coordinator as part of a small team, are provided ongoing training and development and are celebrated and acknowledged for their outstanding work. Operating predominately in the City of Melville and the surrounding suburbs, limited travel is required between clients.

Support Workers
Melville Cares Support Workers require a Certificate III in Individual Support, or equivalent, and receive ongoing training and development. To build consistency, strong relationships and trust, Melville Cares rosters Support Workers to the same clients.
Being vital to our clients, Support Workers provide in-home support such as showering, dressing, preparing meals, medication assistance and mobility. Activities such as cleaning, practical tasks such as shopping, community activities and social support also make up this role.
Domestic Assistant Workers
Domestic Assistant Workers provide valuable support to our clients by undertaking cleaning and other domestic assistance duties in their home. The impact of this role cannot be underestimated as it provides a true and visual difference, giving our clients ongoing pride in their home, a clean and hygienic living space and engagement and companionship with their Domestic Assistant.
Along with cleaning services, Domestic Assistant Workers also carry out shop by list and provide some social support services.
