More about our services

Nursing

Our Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Nursing Assistants can assist you after hospitalisation or as an ongoing service. Our services include comprehensive clinical assessments, wound and catheter care, scheduled medication administration and wellness checks.

Occupational therapy (OT)

Our OTs can help you to stay well, safe and independent as an ongoing or one-off service, or for short-term restorative care. They assess how you manage everyday activities, identify any risks, and recommend practical solutions such as assistive technology, aids, equipment, home modifications or new ways of doing tasks.

Physiotherapy (PT)

PTs can help you maintain your mobility, providing exercise classes and strategies to improve your balance, coordination and strength. They may be able to help you reduce your pain and risk of falls, manage cardiopulmonary conditions and provide pre- or post- surgery rehabilitation support.

Care management

Our Care Partner will get to know you and will co-ordinate the care and services that will help you deliver on the goals you identify in your Care Plan. They are on hand to support you through any changes in your circumstances or needs, as your one point of contact, and will also provide general information and support.

Personal care

Our Community Workers assist with showering, bathing, dressing and personal grooming to help you prepare for the day or night. They can also prompt you to take your medications at specific times of the day.

Group social support and community engagement

We know the importance and benefit of social groups to keep you connected and active, positively impacting both physical and mental health. We encourage you to make the most of our Friendship Club in Willagee or join Melville Friends for outings and activities.

Individual social support and community engagement

Our one-on-one support enables you to participate in outings for shopping, medical and specialist appointments, hairdressing, social visits and events without you having to rely on family and friends. Our social support programs can also offer your everyday carer some respite.

Transport services

Our transport services allow you to access the community services you need to live independently. We have a fleet of vehicles available to cover all your transport needs, whether you use a wheelchair, or other mobility aids, or not. Our transport team is made up of both staff and volunteers. Our drivers are trained in the safe transportation of people in wheelchairs or with limited mobility.

Home maintenance and repairs (including gardening)

To help keep you safe, we can help minimise environmental health and safety hazards in your home and garden. This may involve minor maintenance or repair work that doesn’t require professional services or specialised equipment. We can help with replacing light bulbs, cleaning gutters, fans, and windows, the tops of cupboards and fridges, as well as light pruning, lawn mowing or weeding where a safety hazard exists.

Domestic assistance

Our Community Workers can assist with your cleaning and laundry, including vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, dusting and general tidying. Staff consistency means our team gets to know how you like things and where everything is kept. We can also accompany you to local shopping centres or we can do the shopping for you.

Meal preparation

Our team are trained in food safety, hygiene and meal preparation. We can prepare healthy meals for you if you are unable to do so independently. We will encourage you to have maximum input into your dietary requirements and the meals you would like.
