Aged Care Services to Support Independent Living
Melville Cares is a community-based not-for-profit organisation that provides aged care support services to our elderly and eligible veterans.
Established in 1984 by a small group of volunteers and incorporated in 1986, we have grown into an organisation with over 240 people, comprising 140 volunteers and 120 staff. Together, we work to support thousands of people in our community at any one time.
Our approach focuses on enablement and reablement to help our clients maintain or build the skills they need to perform everyday tasks, supporting and empowering them to lead healthy, independent lives.
Our services include a range of aged care in-home support services as well as social groups, transport and events – made possible with funding from our valued sponsors and support from our many volunteers.
We are an approved provider of the following government-subsidised aged care programmes:
Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP)
Home Care Packages (HCP) programme
Veterans’ Home Care (VHC) programme
