Welcome to Western Suburbs Cares
In response to a strong demand for home care services in the Perth Central and North Metropolitan area, Melville Cares has opened a new service based in Claremont, named Western Suburbs Cares.
Western Suburbs Cares is a community-focused not-for-profit home care provider supporting people with Support at Home (SaH) funding as well as those waiting for their package who may be seeking services privately.
Place your home care package with Western Suburbs Cares to receive a $150 gift card.
Existing Melville Cares and Western Suburbs Cares clients who refer someone to Western Suburbs Cares, who then places their home care package with us within 3 months, will also receive a $150 gift card. Full terms and conditions.
In-home aged care to keep you healthy and happy at home
At Western Suburbs Cares, our aim is to keep you healthy and happy at home as long as possible. Our approach focuses on wellness, enablement and reablement. By supporting you to retain existing skills and/or regain skills required to do everyday tasks, we can help you maintain an independent and connected life from the comfort and safety of your own home.
Our in-home services are individually tailored, taking into account your own personal choices and your short and long term care requirements.
We assign each client a dedicated Care Partner so they get to know what’s important to you, and you can trust them to be there for you when needed.

Be a Volunteer Visitor
Do you enjoy listening to people’s stories and reminiscing? Would you like to enrich the quality of life of residents in local nursing homes who are socially isolated and would benefit from a friendly visitor, and make an incredible friend in the process?
The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor’s Scheme is a national program funded by the Commonwealth Government. Volunteers regularly visit Home Care Package Clients living independently or residents in local aged care homes who would benefit from a friendly visitor.
You can share your interests and open up their world, and in turn there may be many memories that they can share with you.
Our visitors form friendships with residents they are matched with by reading, listening to music, reminiscing or playing a game. We focus on those who have limited family and social contact and may be at risk of isolation from the general community.
We are able to enlist volunteer visitors across the South West Metropolitan (call 9319 0900) and North Metropolitan areas (call 9319 0999).
