Access to assistance for everyday tasks
National Volunteer Week was held between 8th – 14th May 2017. Melville Cares had its official celebration on Tuesday 8th May with a very enjoyable afternoon high tea held at the Southern Districts Senior Centre.
Our volunteers are a critical part of the service that we provide at Melville Cares. The total years of service provided by our current volunteers totals over 900 years. Present were volunteers with over 27 years of service to those that just started the previous month.
Our volunteers were recognised with the presentation of a National Volunteer Week badge and a large bar as a small gift. Our CEO, Richard Foster; our Patron, Cllr June Barton; Gilda Davies the Training and Development officer from VWA; and Avril, the Coordinator of Volunteers all addressed the group and thanked them for their service to the organisation.
A big THANK YOU to all our valued volunteers.
