International Volunteer Day 2017December 6, 2017 News
Melville Cares invited a table of volunteers to attend a Garden Party at the Supreme Court Gardens in the presence of Her Excellency, the Honourable Kerry Sanderson AC. The day was hosted by Volunteering WA to celebrate International Volunteer Day on the 5th December. Delicious picnic food and drinks were served and relished throughout the day while everyone soaked up the warm weather and beautiful scenery. Later in the afternoon the Melville Cares table was paid a surprise visit by the Governor who graced everyone with cheerful conservation and her personal congratulations for volunteering. It is safe to say that this was a real highlight of the afternoon for many, and everyone loved the group photo that was taken with the Governor.
