Support and Companionship at Home or Centre Based
Living a safe and independent life
Melville Cares provide support services to the frail aged, disabled and veterans that help them with the everyday tasks many of us take for granted.
Services include cleaning, shopping, gardening, friendship clubs, and transport to medical and social appointments, and extend to carers with services that provide relief and support.
For those whose level of care requires a residential hostel or nursing home environment, we provide social support through our volunteers who visit those who feel lonely and socially isolated.
The number of frail aged community members entering into residential care prematurely is reduced through the work of the Home and Community Care program. The quality of life of frail aged and disabled community members is enhanced through the support we provide, allowing them to remain living safely and independently within the family home, and to be active in their community.
