Supporting Independence and Quality of Life for People in Our Community
Our support services reach thousands of members in our community
Melville Cares is a community based not for profit organisation that provides support services to help people in need to lead a healthy, independent life.
Established in 1984 by a small group of volunteers and incorporated in 1986, we have grown into an organisation with over 240 people working together to support thousands of people in our community at any one time.
Employing over 80 employees who provide administrative or direct care services, and with a valued team of an additional 160 volunteers at our core, we proudly provide support services in our community.
To enhance the quality of life of the frail aged, disabled and veterans in our community by supporting their wish to participate independently within the community.
With funding from our valued sponsors Melville Cares assists our clients with the everyday tasks many of us take for granted at home, in residential hostels or a nursing home environment. Our services range from shopping and transport, through to our wonderful social activities. Our clients range from 18 to beyond.
